Abstract
Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are transforming education, employment, communication, healthcare, manufacturing, and other areas of modern society. As these technologies become increasingly integrated into everyday life, students need more than traditional academic knowledge. They require digital literacy, computational thinking, problem-solving, creativity, collaboration, ethical awareness, and the ability to use intelligent technologies responsibly. This paper examines the educational significance of robotics and AI, identifies the competencies students need to develop, and proposes practical approaches for integrating these technologies into school education. The study adopts a conceptual research approach based on a review of selected policy documents and educational literature. It explores opportunities such as personalized learning, project-based education, interdisciplinary learning, and career preparation, while also examining challenges related to infrastructure, teacher training, privacy, algorithmic bias, academic integrity, and unequal access to technology. The paper proposes a gradual, inclusive, and human-centred framework for introducing robotics and AI into educational institutions. It argues that students should not merely learn how to operate technological tools but should also understand their limitations, evaluate their outputs, and use them to solve meaningful real-world problems. The study concludes that robotics and AI education should become an integral component of future-oriented education, supported by appropriate teacher preparation, curriculum development, ethical guidelines, and equitable access to learning resources.
